For those of you wondering about the differences between the old and new We Do It Right, its simple– it picks up right where WDIR Classic left off. From the beginning I made it my personal mission to bring the world the best in today’s music. If you follow the online daily music scene you know that it is plagued by repetition, congestion and mediocrity– three things I aim to never hear about We Do It Right. WDIR aims to not just copy and paste whatever “buzzworthy” artist is being passed around the blogs, but to ignite the lobes of music lovers with the abundance of fresh and dope ear candy that gets released on a daily basis with no coverage.
Initially We Do It Right classic was designed to bring together a diverse audience of music connoisseurs, shattering the division between the Indie Rock/Pop, Electronic, and Hip Hop genres by establishing a single site where people can enjoy and recieve information about the music that interests them. We also desire to bring the addition of journalism to the forefront of the site. The blogging community has become over saturated with numerous sites cut and pasting the same zshare link with little to no information about the artist, news, abum reviews, artist interviews, or actual writing about the music we love. WDIR Magazine has now pulled themselves out of the “musical fast food” contest of cut and paste blogging and will focus on the fundamental principles which have lead out original website to success; informing the public about great music and offering more interaction between the public and the artists, events, news and more.
Basically, the name says it all. There is a world of great music out there that needs to be heard. Artists that work their ass off deserve real coverage, real press and real feedback from music experts and the most important people– the fans. So, welcome. Welcome to your new music haven where…
